  • Government-sponsored support

Students at a private university are eligible for government support according to the German Training Assistance Act (BAföG). The amount of support depends on your income and assets. If you are eligible for support, you should fill out the application form as soon as possible upon being accepted to BTK.

  • Other financing options

The university awards each semester partial scholarships for the length of one semester. The selection process is managed by BTK. Here you will find the scholarship guidelines and the application form of BTK.

Many financial institutions, such as Deutsche Bank, Sparkasse or Volksbank, and Raiffeisenbank, offer school loans with flexible monthly payment options. They allow you to negotiate individual terms at a low yearly interest rate.

Germany’s development bank KfW grants full-time students a school loan with a monthly payment option at a low interest rate.

Particularly talented students can also apply for a scholarship with the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes (German Scholarship Foundation), or with special-interest or regional foundations. You can find more detailed information about your options in our BTK financing brochure. Request it here.
