An exhibition by Hannah Bayer, Sebastian Blesel, Lisa Marie Heeren, Pia-Kiara Hillburg, Katharina Mayer, Carolina Reintke, Florian Wieschollek.
"First shoot, then ask or run" - this motto accompanied students from the BTK, campus Iserlohn while they were traveling around the world.
A study trip led them to Sicily. After bumpy car trips on desolate streets and sometimes with pushy persecutors, they reached destinations like Palermo, the former mafia headquarter Corleone, the coastal towns of Trapani, Erice and Gibellina. They made street photographs of working people, stray dogs and cats, scores of tourists and garbage. Whether field fires, public animal slaughter or educational trips to archaeological sites - every day was an adventure.
Further exciting impressions were brought back during a workshop in New York, an excursion to Maastricht and a stay in Montenegro. In addition to photographs of the various sights, the exhibition also includes cinematic projections. A publication with a selection of the exhibits will be published.
