The best start to a successful career as a designer is one based on real-life experience! Das International Career Center is happy to support you in gaining an internship abroad. Discover the goings-on at an agency as an intern, or work on exciting creative projects in another country.
The choice is yours – you can decide where you want to intern and can contact your company of choice as you wish.
Valid internship places include: advertising agencies, publishing houses, design agencies, photographers, research institues (e.g. Fraunhofer- associations), companies from the branches film, television, 3D- animation and/or video games, but also marketing and media departments within companies, associations or institutes.

The 5th semester of your bachelor’s degree program at University of Applied Sciences Europe's Art & Design faculty is set aside for taking an internship or studying for a semester abroad.
You need to work full time, this is usually between 37,5 and 40 hours a week and not more than 8 hours per day for 105 days.
In Germany there are two different types of internships available. Voluntary internships can be completes out of personal interest. For these internships, labour law provisions apply in the same manner as for part-time student jobs: Companies need to pay “minimal wage”. At University of Applied Sciences Europe Art & Design study abroad or the compulsory internship is required part of the curriculum, however you should negotiate a salary.
For an internship within Europe, you can apply for support from the Erasmus+ program.

If you do not want to apply for financial support, you do not have to officially apply with the International Career Center for an internship abroad. You apply for your internship with your employer.
